Abstract
Acid-base properties of surface of aluminum, iron, and silicon oxides have been studied by pK spectroscopy. γ-Al2O3 and γ-AlO(OH) have been found the most reactive modifiers for epoxy oligomers, due to the presence of active surface groups with pK1 ≈ 4, capable of chemical interaction with the matrix.
