Abstract

The main characteristics (thickness, phase composition, and microdistribution of elements) of protective corrosion-resistant coatings on the samples of grade-St3sp steel have been investigated experimentally depending on the parameters of the process of liquid-phase calorizing. The principal conditions and regimes of the calorizing have been chosen, namely, the composition of the salt melt, the temperature, the current density, and the amount of the deposited aluminum (duration of deposition), which ensure the formation of continuous intermetallic coatings on the samples of St3sp steel.
