Abstract

Chemiluminescent processes of luminol oxidation with the participation of hydrogen peroxide in the presence of horseradish peroxidase, glycine, additives of tar from tobacco smoke, and pyrocatechol are used for in vitro modeling metabolic transformation of smoke antioxidants when they enter a living organism. The importance of taking the transformation of the properties of exogenous antioxidants in the body into account to assess the total bioantioxidant effect is demonstrated.
