Abstract

Charge states 1+ and 2+ are usually used for ion selection in 1-MV AMS complexes. Charge state 3+ is used at the BINP AMS complex for the improved ion selection. A brief description of the BINP AMS complex, experimental results of ion separation at different stages of selection, and examples of radiocarbon dating of samples are presented.
