Stochastic Cooling in the Startup and Project Configurations of the NICA Collider Equipment

Abstract

The stochastic cooling system is a key element of the NICA accelerator–collider complex. The dependence of the luminosity on the β function at the interaction point is investigated, the main parameters of the system are substantiated, and the equipment mix for the startup and project modes of collider operation is described.
