Abstract

The complex [mer-In(H2O)3Cl3] · 18C6 (I) was isolated from the InCl3-H2O-Solv-18C6 solutions (Solv = MeOH, EtOH, THF). The second crystallization from mother solutions resulted in [fac-In(H2O)3Cl3] · 18C6 · 2H2O (II). The crystal and molecular structures of isomers I, II were identified by the powder X-ray diffraction, IR, and X-ray diffraction methods. Although complexes I, II have different compositions, they have the chain structure. The thermal decomposition of complexes I, II was studied.
