Abstract
The phase composition, structural parameters, and static and dynamic characteristics of the hexaferrite Ba2Zn2Fe12O22(Zn2Y) subjected to mechanical treatment in a high-energy planetary mill were studied. It is shown that, depending on the regime and duration of the treatment, not only the material is dispersed but also the morphology of particles, the phase composition, and the main magnetic characteristics of the material are changed. The variation in the magnetic state of nanoscale powders and the reasons for the difference between the data on the phase composition obtained by X-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements for different regimes of mechanical treatment are discussed.
