Abstract

The purely quantum aspects of the neutron interaction with magnetic layers are revealing new possibilities for spin manipulations. Neutron spin-turning reflectors (π/2 and π turners, in particular) are suggested on the basis of magnetic single layers as well as multilayer structures that increase manifold the value and/or the range of the working angles. Larmor and quantum spin precessors inducing large precession angles are also considered.
