Abstract
A description of a rare geometrid species, Lythria venustata Staudinger, 1882, and the characteristic of its genital structures are given. The differences of this species from the closely related L. plumularia (Freyer, 1831) are shown. L. venustata has a similar coloration of the wings, but clearly differs in the size and shape of the male genitalia.
