Abstract

The objective of environmental color workshop is to research the relationship between color and the local environment from the viewpoints of local residents, and to deepened local residents' understanding of the environmental color. The objective of this paper is to make the recording, analysis and representation of observer's color perception experience deeper and easier by applying diagrams to environmental color workshop. In this paper, first, "studies of environmental color workshop " and "studies utilizing diagrams for environmental surveys ", which are related to this research, were reviewed. Next, two campus workshops were conducted by students (as local residents on the campus). The application of the diagrams at the environmental color workshops was then evaluated by students and design experts. As a result, the effectiveness of applying the six types of diagrams (a) - (f) proposed by us to the workshop were confirmed. In particular, it was confirmed that the use of the diagram was effective for the workshop participants' "recording of perception experience" and "group discussions".
