New Nexygen 4.0 software from Lloyd Instruments is said to take automation for materials testing to new limits. This is the latest version of the advanced machine control and data analysis package which is already well established as the most capable materials testing software solution around.

Software engineers at Lloyd Instruments have always recognised the need for fast, automatic and time-efficient ways to improve testing of samples followed by analysis and presentation of results. According to Lloyd incorporating these features into Nexygen 4.0 now enables engineers in the aircraft engineering industry to include sophisticated, automated testing and reporting programs in both routine and customised testing set-ups.

The beauty of this new Nexygen software is said to be that the procedures and subsequent calculations are easy to set up and run simply by the touch of a button. The user friendly interface means that data analysis for history checking can be accomplished with ease. Being fully integrated with other commonly-used packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, quality managers, for example, can carry out detailed analysis of failed tests over a set period and produce an easy to understand report complete with graphs and figures. The report can then be e-mailed on a regular basis to suppliers for routine checks.

Using Nexygen 4.0 is believed to significantly improve the functionality of a testing laboratory by increasing the through-put of samples with automated testing procedures and can give a contract company a significant edge over its competitors with its effortless reporting capabilities.

The flexibility of use of Nexygen is considered to be one of its most attractive features. It offers many levels of involvement, so advanced operators can continue to learn through experience while unskilled operators can be locked out of critical configurations. This makes Nexygen 4.0 easy for beginners yet powerful for experts, a truly flexible system.
