The method of 3D phase-space analysis is used to optimize the design of a double-focusing small-angle scattering camera with mirror/monochromator optics. Radiation from the 0.1 × 0.1 mm focal spot of a rotating-anode generator is focused in the vertical direction by an elliptical Ni-covered mirror and in the horizontal direction by an asymmetrically cut cylindrically bent Ge(111) crystal. The total length of the camera is about 4 m. The implementation of monochromator/multilayer optics is also discussed.
