Abstract

Recent data allow a new parametrization of the neutron charge form factor GEn. A parameter-free quark-model relation between GEn and the NΔ quadrupole form factor GC2NΔ is used to predict GC2NΔ from GEn data. In particular, rn2 is related to NΔ quadrupole moment QNΔ, while rn4 connects to the NΔ quadrupole transition radius rNΔ2. From the latter we derive an experimental value for the charge radius of the light constituent quarks rγq=0.8fm. Finally, the C2/M1 ratio in pion electroproduction is predicted from the elastic neutron form factor data.
