Abstract

The phase (φ) dependence of the Josephson current I(φ) between s wave and dx2-y2 wave superconductors is predicted to be sin(2φ), when the junction is formed along the c axis. This dependence is also obtained when the misorientation angle between the interface and the a(b) axis of the dx2-y2 superconductor is 45° in the a-b plane contact junction. In such cases, critical current Ic is proportional to Tc-T near the transition temperature Tc. The anomalous magnetic flux dependence of Ic of the corner junction by Wollman is also predicted.
