Abstract

We study effects of induced CP-nonconserving effective operators involving the gluon field strength as a result of integrating out the heavy-quark field which carries a chromoelectric dipole moment. The induced gluonic operators of dimension 8 may be the dominant mechanism for generating the neutron electric dipole moment.
