Abstract

Results of proton spin-lattice relaxation time (T1n) measurements on Cu(NO3)2·2½H2O at T=4.2 K for 5 kOe<H<60 kOe are presented. The data are related to the spin fluctuations in the anisotropic (JE=2JE) antiferromagnetic chains of effective spins S=12. The results compare favorably with the theoretical results of McFadden and Tahir-Kheli over the whole frequency range up to 8ωx (ωx=|JE|).
