Abstract

The ratio of the vector to axial-vector coupling constant for Σ±Λe±ν decays using 186 events is determined to be -0.37±0.20. The branching ratio for ΣΛeν is (0.62±0.07) ×104 and for Σ+Λe+ν is (0.21±0.05)×104. An upper limit on the magnitude of the ratio of the axial-magnetism to axial-vector coupling constants is 3.2.
