Abstract

It is shown that in the parallel configuration of incoming and outgoing leptons, high-energy inelastic neutrino reactions can provide, in the event of the hadronic weak neutral current having a tensor component, an effective test of a recent proposal by Caldi and Pagels to unify PCAC (partial conservation of the axial-vector current) and the quark model by classifying the ρ and π nonets into (3, 3*) + (3*, 3) representations of chiral SU(3) × SU(3).
