Abstract
The specific heat of two low-dimensional electron systems has been studied. The first system is a two-dimensional layer in the presence of a uniform magnetic field applied tilted from the plane of the confined electron gas, and the second one is an asymmetric quantum well in a plane perpendicular to a magnetic field. de Haas–van Alphen and Aharonov–Bohm oscillations have been investigated.
