Corrections to the energy of two-dimensional polarons in weak magnetic fields

Abstract

Exact closed-form expressions for the second-order perturbation-theory shift of the n=0, n=1, and n=2 polaron Landau levels in two dimensions are derived. In the limit of weak magnetic field, results recently obtained by Das Sarma [Phys. Rev. Lett. 52, 589 (1984); 52, 1570(E) (1984)] are recovered.
