Variational calculation for the doubly excited state (2p2)Pe3 of helium

Abstract

Highly precise variational calculations of nonrelativistic energies of the (2p2)Pe3 state of the helium atom are presented. We get an upper bound energy E=0.7105001 5565678a.u., the lowest yet obtained.
