Abstract

Differential cross sections for the transitions from the ground state to n=2 states in Li+ are calculated using the R-matrix method. The 19 lowest target states are included, using configuration-interaction wave functions. Results are represented for low incident electron energies and are compared with those of the distorted-wave method and with a recent 11-state close-coupling calculation.
