Abstract
The model of Fukuyama and Lee for the pinning of the charge-density-wave phase by impurities is investigated. The current-current correlation function, related to the force-force correlation function by the equation of motion, is calculated to fourth order in the impurity concentration . It is found that the threshold electric field is proportional to , and above threshold, the resulting current is periodic in time, exhibiting many harmonics.
