Stability of temporal chirped solitary waves in quadratically nonlinear media

Abstract

A two-parameter family of moving solitary waves in nonlinear quadratic media is obtained and discussed in different parameter spaces, where they are unstable in certain domains. The stability criterion is derived and confirmed by means of a beam propagation method.
