Abstract

Using the O(3,2)-symmetric de Sitter solution of Einstein's equation describing a stongly interacting tensor field we show that hadronic bags confining quarks can be represented as de Sitter "microuniverses" with radii given by 1R2=λκ26. Here κ2 and λ are the strong-coupling and the "cosmological" constants which appear in the Einstein equation used. Surprisingly the energy spectrum for the two-body hadronic states is essentially the same as that for a harmonic-oscillator potential, though the wave functions are completely different. The Einstein equation can be extended to include color for the tensor fields.
