Abstract

Levels in Pd102 have been investigated by utilizing the Ru99(α, n; γ)Pd102 reaction. The basic measurements were γ-ray excitation functions, angular distributions, and γγ coincidences. All γ-ray measurements were performed with Ge(Li) detectors. The excitation functions were used to identify Pd102 γ rays, and the coincidence measurements were used to construct a level scheme. Nuclear spins have been inferred from analysis of the angular distributions. The proposed level scheme contains 24 levels; the dominant γ-ray cascade connects states of spin 0+, 2+, 4+, 6+, 8+, and 10+.
