Abstract
The level scheme of the N=78 nucleus has been investigated via in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy using the Si, 4n) reaction. States up to I=22 and =8101 keV have been established. The level structure above the known isomeric states is discussed in terms of the coupling between the valence particles or holes and the N=78 and N=80 cores.
