Abstract
We point out that the most commonly used version of the relativistic Faddeev equations has spurious bound-state solutions and therefore it is unsuitable for calculations in the bound-state region. We propose a way to modify these equations which would correct the problem, but which leads to the loss of the clustering property. We present numerical examples for the case of the nn system.
