Abstract

The variation of Tc with composition was investigated for the Mo-Tc system using a quick-quench technique. A transformation of the disordered A15 structure to a bcc structure of the same composition without any change in Tc was observed. This investigation shows that the Tc for a completely disordered A15 lattice is almost identical to the Tc for the bcc or hcp solid solution with the same composition.
