Examination of the Σg1 resonances in low-energy e-H2+ collisions

Abstract

An effective optical potential approach is applied to the scattering of electrons by H2+ within the linear algebraic prescription. Widths and positions of the lowest few Σg1 resonances appearing in the elastic-scattering channel are calculated and compared with the results of other methods.
