Abstract
The quadrupole antishielding factors for the ions , , and have been calculated by solving differential equations in nonorthogonal Hartree-Fock perturbation theory. The results are compared with the values of obtained in other calculations. The agreement in all the cases except of is quite satisfactory. It is believed that the discrepancy in the latter case is perhaps due to the different zero-order wave function used in the present calculation.
