Abstract

Thompson-Hayward 6040 (N-[4-chlorophenyl]-N′[2,6-difluorobenzoyl]urea) was fed in rations to laying hens at decreasing amounts from 50 to 1.6 ppm. The level that gave complete inhibition of development of larvae of Musca domestica L. fell between 6.2 and 12.5 ppm. Residues of TH 6040 were found in the eggs of all treated chickens.
