Abstract
An analysis of the works in which the designs of widespread dust-capturing devices are studied. It has been established that the prediction of the operation of dust-collecting devices in certain conditions is most effectively carried out by the methods of numerical modeling and simulation of the separation process, which are widely used for the research of devices of this type. With the help of numerical modeling methods, the structure of the gas flow in the cyclone for different designs of the top cover, the influence of the gas flow velocity in the inlet nozzle on the hydraulic resistance of the device and compared it with experimental data were determined.
