Abstract
Magnesium alloys were prepared by severe plastic deformation (SPD). Three methods were used. The mechanical and thermal properties were estimated. The increase in strength could be attributed to the grain refinement and increased dislocation density. The thermal conductivity and expansivity was measured for samples prepared with different methods. Some examples are shown and discussed.
