Abstract

Tibet's special geographical location makes it rich in clean energy resources, including renewable energy such as hydropower, solar energy, geothermal energy and wind energy. The advantaged clean energy resources not only provide advantaged resource advantages for the development and utilization of clean energy in Tibet, but also lay the foundation for accelerating the strategy of energy structure adjustment. By the end of 2020, the total installed power capacity of Tibet has reached 4.0185 million kilowatts, of which the clean energy sector is growing rapidly. The installed capacity of hydropower, wind power, geothermal power and solar photovoltaic power generation in the same period has reached 3.58 million kilowatts. Clean energy accounts for 89.09% of the total installed power generation capacity, while the installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation is about 1.5 million kilowatts, accounting for 37.33% of the total installed capacity, Second only to hydropower. However, there is still a lot of room to improve the utilization of solar photovoltaic.
