Abstract
In order to reveal the disaster mechanism of loess landslide induced by rig vibration, based on the analysis of typical cases of loess landslide, the disaster process of loess landslide triggered by rig vibration was analyzed through field investigation, physical model test and stress path test. The results showed that the instability mechanism of vibration-type loess landslide was a dynamic process under the action of vibration load. This process can be summarized as follows: stable loess slope – vibration load of drilling rig – adjustment of slope stress – shear failure occurs under continuous load – slope body begins to slide after sliding surface gradually forms – landslide forms
