Abstract
Cross sections for the ionization of Zn+ by energy-resolved electrons have been measured from below threshold (17.96 eV) to 39 eV. The results are similar to others that have been reported except that much more structure, due to indirect ionization processes, was resolved. The origin of much of the autoionization was determined by comparing the measurements with theoretical predictions. Comparisons were also made with measured photoionization cross sections of Zn+.
