Abstract
The authors report the results of a molecular treatment, carried out for the benchmark He2++H and He++H+ reactions, and for the intermediate velocity range 0.28< nu <2.8 au. Even with a very small molecular basis, use of plane-wave translation factors permits one to obtain the correct overall behaviour of total and partial charge exchange cross sections beyond their maximum.
