Abstract
The spectrum of six times ionized chlorine, Cl VII, has been investigated in the wavelength interval 100-6000 Å. The region below 270 Å has been studied by means of theta pinch and open spark spectrum recordings while above 270 Å we have used the beam-foil method and a sliding spark light source. 133 lines have been identified of which about 85 are new. The observed term system has been recalculated and extended to include 52 terms. The ionization limit, as derived from the polarization formula, is 921 096 ± 5 cm-1.
