Abstract

Matrix transfer function analysis in the frequency domain is applied to a feedback control system in a circular divertor tokamak. The effectiveness in determining optimal control gains, open and closed loop control characteristics, disturbance responses and mutual interactions between controllers are demonstrated by practical application to JT-60. Detailed control characteristics of plasma current, plasma position and divertor configurations in JT-60 are shown.
