Abstract

The absolute electron-production cross sections for 5-20 keV H2+ and 5-20 keV H3+ impacts on helium, differential in angle and energy of the ejected electrons, have been measured for electron energies of 2-50 eV at ejection angles of 30 degrees , 60 degrees , 90 degrees and 120 degrees . The dissociative ionisation cross sections are derived from the authors differential cross sections for electron production and compared with the results of direct measurement by Guidini (1961).
