Abstract
I present recent progress in understanding abrupt connectivity transitions, i.e. percolation-type models exhibiting first order phase transitions. The introduction of bridge bonds and their tricritical scaling allows obtaining exact expressions for the appearance of a jump in the order parameter. Another exact result can be obtained through the Potts model using Gliozzi's scheme. Finally also hybrid transitions are discussed.
