Abstract
The energy levels of 28Si have been determined below an excitation energy of 10.37 Mev by magnetic analysis of the deuterons from the 27Al(3He, d)28Si reaction. Angular distributions of several deuteron groups have been measured at incident energies of 5.7 and 9.16 Mev and from a comparison with stripping theory, certain l-value assignments have been made. Evidence is presented favouring the 9.314 and 9.379 Mev levels being respectively the first and second T = 1 states of 28Si.
