Abstract
The Sn site hyperfine fields in the Heusler alloys, Rh2FeSn, Rh2MnSn and Rh2CoSn have been measured in the present work, using the Mossbauer effect. The values obtained, at 77K, are +55, +21 and -51 kOe, respectively. The Fe site hyperfine field in Rh2FeSn was found to be -289 kOe, at 77K. A relationship is indicated between the Heusler alloys and several BCC binary alloys of iron. A phenomenological common basis of interpretation is proposed for Sn and Fe hyperfine fields in both of these alloy systems.
