Abstract
For potentials whose first absolute moment exists the author proves continuity of the scattering matrix at zero energy. As a result he also obtains Levinson's theorem. He also studies the low-energy asymptotics of the transmission and reflection coefficients for potentials with a behaviour of the type x-2- in (respectively (-x)-2- delta ) as x to infinity (respectively x to - infinity ), where 0< in , delta <1.
