Abstract
The wavelengths of the Cs I transitions 6s-5d and 5d-nf, with n=4-14, have been measured by means of a high-dispersion Czerny-Turner spectrograph and a hollow-cathode discharge. From the recalculated levels 4-12f2F7/2,5/2 and 6-11s2S1/2, the ionization energy has been determined to 31 406.454±0.005 cm-1.
