Abstract
The angular distribution for the elastic scattering of 50 eV electrons from atomic hydrogen has been measured in the angular range 15 degrees to 130 degrees . The results are compared with those predicted by the Glauber approximation, the close coupling approximation, a multiple scattering approximation, the plane wave Born approximation, and a second order potential approximation. None of these approximations agree with the measured data over the whole angular range.
