Abstract
Collision integrals (transport cross section) for atomic oxygen in the ground state (3P) and in the first two excited states (1D, 1S) have been calculated, using potential energy curves as determined by ab initio quantum mechanical computations. The calculations include the collision integrals for diffusion, viscosity and thermal conductivity and cover the range from 2000 to 20000 K. The accuracy of the present results is discussed in connection with the values of Yun and Mason (1962) for ground state interactions and with the assumptions made by Yos (1963-65) for collision integrals of excited states.
