Ion-molecule reaction probabilities near 10 K
Abstract
Reaction probabilities have been measured near 11K using an ion trap technique for some processes important for molecule formation in interstellar clouds. Probabilities were determined at 11K ≤ T ≤ 20K for the abstraction processes N++H2→NH++H and NH3++H2→NH4++H. New experimental upper limits were determined for the radiative association reactions C++H2→CH2++hν and HCO++H2→H3CO++hν. Reaction rate coefficients were deduced from the probabilities.
