Protoventuria parahebicola sp. nov. (Venturiaceae), the teleomorph of Fusicladium veronicae on Parahebe perfoliata

Abstract

Protoventuria parahebicola Pascoe & Sutton, sp. nov. is introduced for the teleomorph of Fusicladium veronicae (Batista) Sutton & Pascoe, the cause of severe leaf blight of Parahebe spp. Details of the connection and a discussion of taxonomic affinities of the species are given.
